In March 2022, the Irish Government announced the removal of Excise Duty costs.

These cuts remained in place until March 2023, when they announced that these costs would be re-integrated in 4 stages.

The final part of this staggered removal will come on Thursday 1st August 2024, which will unfortunately increase prices at the pump across the nation.

We would advise filling up before Thursday to ensure the best price.

Upcoming Excise Duty Increases:

Petrol – 4 cent per litre. (excluding vat = 3.252 cpl)

Diesel – 3 cent per litre. (excluding vat = 2.439 cpl)

Marked Gas Oil – 1.7 cent per litre. (excl. vat = 1.498 cpl)
